The Bee
The bee has worked all summer long
and still works on through fall,
Gathering nectar from the flowers -
be they short, medium or tall.
I captured this giant fellow
as he dug into the bloom,
and thanked God for my camera
with a lens that has a zoom.
What other insect works so hard
and provides us with a treat?
He works and fills the honey-comb
so we can have a sweet.
Each time I make a cup of tea
I'll think of this worker-bee,
Because without a touch of honey,
it isn't tea to me.
