Springtime Miracles

From 'neath a blanket of snow and leaves
the crocus will soon appear;
Rainbow-coloured rays of hope
will flower far and near.
Small buds on trees will awaken and stretch;
the robin is back to nest.
Steps will be lighter along life's path
as winter is put to rest.
Spring - the season of everything new -
rebirth is everywhere;
The time to roll away the stone
of burden and of care.
The wonders of Spring are miracles
to see and breathe and hear.
Why else would God give us Easter
in the springtime of the year.

Lilies Live

Easter lilies, bought by the score,
are dumped when blooms are done.
If put in the ground, to rest for awhile,
in September they'll stand in the sun.
Blooms of joyous trumpet flowers,
perfume exhilerating,
Will grace your failing garden bed
when other flowers are fading.
Best of all, if left right there,
you'll see them again next year;
Lilies, a true sign of Easter,
are reborn every year.
