A June Landscape

Mounds of snow-white, whipped-cream clouds
lazed in the deep blue sky;
Pleasant to view and as if they knew -
were in no hurry to drift on by.

Deep-green foliage of the tallest trees
stood framed for all to see;
A tall blue spruce, centre-front of this art -
what more could there possibly be?

A robin flew up to her homemade nest
and fed her babies, four;
And once again a miracle -
that thrilled me to the core.

The song of the birds, the gentle chirps
all add meaning to the day;
My heart was full and then I spied -
Two little bunnies at play.

Then I looked at the gardens I had tended
and saw the blossoms fair;
Pink, red, purple and white -
and yellows, everywhere!

The sky and clouds only part of the picture
that was painted for all to see;
I look around and the beauty astounds me -
God did all this for you and for me.
