Girls, Boys, and Teddy Bears

There are delightfull little people
we call girls and boys;
They all have friends, but teddy bears
are their very-favourite toys.

These enchanting children laugh and play -
their chatter echoes clear;
Like music, it ignites the air -
the dearest sound you'll hear.

They've lots of hugs for teddies
and they picnic on the green;
And then explore and frolic more -
their carefree joy is seen.

Their imaginations soar as they sing -
most-dramatic they can be;
It seems they listen and harmonize
with their teddy bears, you see.

Their smiles illuminate all around
this active, loving group;
An afternoon seems endless
with this energetic troop.

Before they scurry off back home,
an idea lights their eyes;
A gift for mother is what they think;
they're angels in disguise.

Dandelions, daisies, queen-anne's lace
are gathered carefully
And presented to mother, at the kitchen door,
and received most greatfully.

These sisters and brothers and teddy bears
have had a fun-filled day;
But, before they climb into bed that night,
they bow their heads and pray.
